Sony reveals Project Q a new handheld 8-inch screen device to stream ps5 games

Jim Ryan, head of SIE, came to the stage at PlayStation Showcase to present Project Q, a device to play the PS5 remotely that will have an 8-inch screen.

According to the executive, the device arrives in stores at the end of this year

Project Q was previously expected

Project Q, previously treated as Q Lite according to Tom Henderson, was speculated by the insider in April. According to him, the device would only have support for streaming technology, and this was confirmed at today’s event.

The other information has not yet been made official, but he said the device will come with:

  • Streaming support with 1080p to 60 FPS adaptive resolution;
  • Much like the DualSense;
  • It will have features such as tactile feedback and adaptive triggers;
  • Ask for constant internet connection for use;
  • Q Lite would already be in a testing phase
