List of Galaxy models updated to One UI 8

The upcoming One UI 8 update, based on Android 16, is expected to roll out in the next few months, and a preliminary list of Galaxy A devices slated to receive the update has emerged.

According to PhoneArena, a recent source has revealed that several Galaxy A series smartphones will be eligible for the One UI 8 update. The range includes both high-end models like the Galaxy A73 and budget options such as the Galaxy A06. This move demonstrates Samsung’s commitment to providing software updates for a majority of its current A series lineup.

The devices anticipated to receive the One UI 8 update include the Galaxy A73, Galaxy A56, Galaxy A55, Galaxy A54, Galaxy A53, Galaxy A36, Galaxy A35, Galaxy A34, Galaxy A33, Galaxy A25, Galaxy A24, Galaxy A23, Galaxy A15 (LTE and 5G), Galaxy A14 (LTE and 5G), Galaxy A16 (LTE and 5G), and Galaxy A06.

Though this information is not yet official, if Samsung continues its trend of consistent updates, this list reflects its dedication to supporting mid-range and budget smartphones. Some devices mentioned are still new, while others have surpassed their expected software support periods.

Additionally, earlier information indicated that Galaxy S devices, specifically the Galaxy S21 series and later models, would also be receiving the One UI 8 update. This is likely to please fans of the premium Galaxy S series, particularly in contrast to certain Galaxy A models, such as the Galaxy A52 or A32, which do not appear on the list. Notably, the inclusion of the entry-level Galaxy A06 for the Android 16 update is significant.

If One UI 8 delivers performance enhancements and interface improvements, it could significantly extend the life and user satisfaction of these devices. For models like the Galaxy A54 and A34, which already provide strong value, this update could facilitate user retention for an additional year or two without the need for an upgrade.
