There are exciting developments regarding Apple’s upcoming smartphone, which may see the iPhone SE 4 transformed into the iPhone 16E. According to insights from WCCF Tech, the well-known leaker Majin Bu has reported that Apple is planning to rename the iPhone SE 4 while introducing significant design upgrades and enhanced features.

The iPhone 16E is anticipated to adopt a design similar to the iPhone 14, featuring a 6.1-inch display with a compact notch and a squared-off frame. Notably, this new model is expected to include an OLED display, marking a shift from the LCD screens used in previous iPhone SE iterations and signifying an important enhancement in display quality.

Moreover, the iPhone 16E could introduce a multi-function Action Button akin to that found on the iPhone 15 Pro. It is also rumored to be powered by an A18 or A17 Pro processor, paired with 8 GB of RAM, which would ensure efficient performance and support for Apple’s latest artificial intelligence capabilities.

In terms of pricing strategy, the iPhone 16E may come in just two color options—black and white—to maintain affordability. This name change from iPhone SE to iPhone 16E appears to be part of Apple’s strategy to reposition its budget-friendly product line, potentially attracting a wider audience by aligning it with the flagship iPhone series—similar to Google’s approach with the Pixel ‘a’ series.

The iPhone 16E is expected to launch in the spring of 2025, but it is important to note that this information is speculative and awaits further confirmation.
