Billionaire Elon Musk brings Grok to Telegram Premium

Elon Musk, billionaire and head of the US Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), has announced the integration of the artificial intelligence chatbot Grok into the messaging platform Telegram. This new feature is exclusively available to Premium users of the application.

The announcement was made via a post on the X platform and has been confirmed on Grok’s official Telegram page. Grok 3 is characterized as xAI’s “pioneering language model,” boasting advanced conversation processing capabilities. Premium users can engage with Grok without limits, initiating chats with a simple message. However, some advanced features, such as Think or DeepSearch, remain accessible only through Grok’s dedicated application or on the X social network.

Screenshots of Grok’s interface on Telegram demonstrate its ability to respond in Vietnamese, emphasizing that no additional payments are needed for its use while also supporting natural dialogue in users’ preferred languages. Grok has stated that it does not collect personal data, although it advises users to refrain from sharing sensitive information during interactions.

Grok version 2, released for free in late 2024, allowed users to manipulate text, images, and code. The introduction of Grok on Telegram broadens user access through an additional channel, but its availability is still dependent on a paid subscription. Each chat session can accommodate up to 4,096 characters without imposing limits on the number of requests.

As a strategic product of xAI, a company founded by Elon Musk, Grok aims to compete directly with advanced AI models such as OpenAI’s GPT and China’s DeepSeek. Grok 3 represents Musk’s latest initiative to establish a strong presence in the AI market, particularly in light of his investment group’s proposal to acquire OpenAI for approximately $97.4 billion—an offer that has heightened tensions between Musk and Sam Altman of OpenAI.

Users are encouraged to verify their Telegram accounts to distinguish themselves from potential fake bots, as Grok is currently available solely to Premium subscribers. Future updates and feature expansions for the bot are anticipated.
